Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS)
Here at SATMAP we make use of varied GNSS solutions and providers.
We take advantage of GPS (American), BeiDou (Chinese), GLONASS (Russian) and Galileo (EU) using our cross compatible GNSS units. Our units are also all duel band for best accuracy.
Furthering this, we also have the ability to make use of South Africa's TrigNet system for when using VRS is applicable.

For optimal results we routinely use our Trimble TRK system, offering 1cm horizontal and 2cm vertical precision.

It is however important to note a GNSS system alone cannot be used in all circumstances. They cannot be used in areas near or with high tree cover or in urban canyons. However by integrating them with our other surveying equipment such as our Robotic Total Stations and/or Terrestrial Laser Scanner we can overcome this and get the job done.
A very reliable and accurate system that has served us well over the years. From right to left, Radio range extender, R6 RTK base and R6 RTK Rover with controller.
An older yet reliable and trusted system that integrates well with the more modern R6 RTK system when more rovers are required to speed up fieldwork. Is primarily used as our dedicated VRS unit.
A high quality product from a renowned company. Primarily used by us in it's VRS function it can also connect to the R6 RTK system as well if more rovers are required to speed up fieldwork.
